To me, the most fufilling aspect of cinematography is in building a distinct world through the camera. I love playing with shadow, color, texture, and light to create images that make the environment itself into a character. My favorite movies all do this and I feel that it allows the audience to become truly immersed in a film. I am especially drawn to capturing beauty within the natural world, quiet details that reveal character, and the soul beneath everyday life.
